Salvete! Lei hou! Hola! Bonjour!

Mrs. Banion loves to study, learn, and talk about foreign languages! For three years, she taught Latin and Greek to 5th-10th grade students in a Topeka Christian school. After a few summer mission trips to Hong Kong, she decided to move there and pursue her childhood dream of being a missionary and living in a foreign country. While there, she taught English and Bible to students ages 3-16 and had a blast doing so. The beautiful Kansas skyline and fresh air of the Midwest pulled her back. She also missed being surrounded by her loving family, friends, and church family at Faith Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Banion is excited to share her love of learning and encourage a curiosity and wonder for the outstandingly complex creation that God has formed from nothing. Outside of school, Mrs. Banion loves hiking, festivals, concerts, road trips, travelling, trying new foods, learning new languages… pretty much any new adventure.

What 3 words would you use to describe yourself? Adventurous, effervescent, passionate

If you had a time machine that only worked once what time in history would you visit and why? I would go back to Ancient Greece and Rome to explore the great architecture and listen to the orators and epic poets of the day.

If you were to star in a cartoon (real or fictional) what would the name of the cartoon be? and why? I would be Dora’s best friend in “Dora the Explorer” so I could adventure around new places, eating new food, meeting new friends, and teaching you new languages – a perfect day for me!
