Second Grade Teacher
Years at TLS: 2017-present
Education: B.S., Elementary Education; Theology Minor (Concordia University Chicago)
Mrs. Taylor graduated from Concordia University Chicago. She began her teaching career in 2nd grade at a Lutheran school in the Chicago area.
As children often do, Mrs. Taylor looked up to her dad who was a teacher and knew that she wanted to be a teacher some day too. Attending a Lutheran school (preschool-8th grade) also inspired her to want to teach the faith.
Aside from teaching, Mrs. Taylor enjoys traveling and discovering new coffee shops with her husband, playing board games with friends and family, hanging out with youth groups, creating art/decor, and reading.
What 3 words would you use to describe yourself? Leader, creative, and dependable
If you had a time machine that only worked once what time in history would you visit and why?
If I had a time machine, I would go back to the time during Jesus’ ministry on Earth. I am a visual learner, so to actually see Jesus preach and perform miracles and love people would be incredible. For now, I am thankful for the Bible, that, even though I can’t see it, I can read all about what happened long ago.
If you were to star in a cartoon (real or fictional) what would the name of the cartoon be? and why?
I would be Blossom from the Powerpuff Girls. Even growing up as a kid, when I used to watch the show, I always related to her. She was the leader and I have always had a passion to lead.
